HeartWarmers

HeartWarmers is a ministry reflecting God's heart of love on a personal level to those who are sick, hurting, shut in, missing or new to the Fellowship. The dictionary defines the word "heartwarming" as "tenderly, moving." God's heart toward His people is tender. And when we experience His tender heart, it does move us... touch us... encourage us... and strengthen us. There are times in life when everyone needs that heartwarming touch of God. Most often, God chooses to use people as "conduits" for His heartwarming love. That's what the HeartWarmers' Ministry is all about...being God's instruments to love His people in the midst of these special times.

Ministry Opportunities

Our vision is to reflect God's heart of love and comfort on a personal level to those who are:

  • Sick, both in/out of the hospital
  • Grieving and hurting
  • Shut-ins
  • Missing from our Fellowship
  • Newcomers

Opportunities for serving are available to all who have successfully completed Equipped to Serve (ETS) Levels 1, 2 and/or 3 and a special HeartWarmers training session. Depending on your ETS level, you may find yourself making phone calls, paying personal visits, or even discussing spiritual and emotional concerns with those in need within our Fellowship.

Should God so provide, we're also praying that HeartWarmers will not only minister to those within our Fellowship, but will integrate with our outreach and evangelism efforts to reach out to those who are sick or hurting within our community with the love of Jesus.

How Do I Get Involved?

HeartWarmers is always looking for servants to help minister to those in our Fellowship who would welcome a loving phone call or visit. If you feel that you may be called to this ministry, ask yourself these qualifying questions:

  1. Have I completed either ETS Level 1, 2 or 3?
  2. Do I have any spiritual gift(s) that would be well-suited for a ministry such as this (for example the gifts of mercy, serving, exhortation, etc.)?
  3. Am I willing to take time for people, even if not always convenient with my schedule?
  4. Do I feel called to the HeartWarmers ministry?

Why not pray about joining our team?

If you answered yes (or even maybe) to the above, pray about getting involved and contact Pastor Darrell Pruitt via the church office at extension 115, or call him directly at (678) 575-5681.
